When a horse had AHS, for how long afterwards can't you ride it? I work on a game reserve in the Waterberg area and we have 28 horses. They all work hard and if one is off duty, that means the others have to work even harder, so the sooner I can start using the horse that had AHS, the better, but obviously I don't want to rush him into working again?

Around 6 weeks after full recovery the horse can start light work.
