Kilacoidis - I have heard that they are light senstive.Is this true or are they attracted to light? I have also heard that they cannot be seen with the naked eye.Is this true?

Cilicoides midges are very small and light sensitive in respect of direct sunlight - they are infact attracted to lights at night. You can in fact see them with the naked eye if you know what you are looking for.
