Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

My horse was diagnosed with AHS on 12 January 2008 (in spite of being vaccinated in August 2007) Fortunately he survived and is back to being his own self again. When would be the best time to vaccinate him again ?

Chances are that your horse will now have a strong immunity to the strain that is common in your area. It would have no benifit to vaccinate now just after he has recovered from AHS. The best time will be to vaccinate in Sep Oct this year for protection for the next outbreak season 2008/9
