Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

My miniature mare was not vaccinated due to our suspecting she was pregnant - we had only had her two months at that stage. We have now found she is not pregnant, but am I correct in feeling it is not the time to vaccinate now? We are in the Western Province (near Gordons Bay) so not a high risk area. She was vaccinated last year January and will be done again in September when we do our others?

A difficult question because there is no correct answer. Your best option would be to sit tight and vaccinate in September whether she has foaled or not!
